I think one underdiscussed reason that people are gravitating towards these games is because they ask so little of your life *going forward*, too.

Most of them don’t have XP, or battle passes.

The in-between sections should be a much smaller portion of the experience. I don't hate them but they shouldn't take up 70% of the first dozen-ish hours of the game.

Getting "Mario Karted" sucks and is far more common in World, but the mistake I keep seeing people make is when they get hit by that first red or blue shell in a top position, they keep trying to hold the optimal driving lines with no items or speed like bro the fog is coming, MOVE.

I went to the other plazas to see them in 60f then looked away, it's so much faster than I was ready for lol
