Instrumental Archaeology, Issue 11 The Valiha

On Wednesday I posted the 11th Issue of Instrumental Archaeology, on the valiha. Traditionally, it’s strings are strips of bamboo cut right from the instrument. I think it’s such a unique instrument.

What’s your favorite video game soundtrack that doesn’t get enough love?

I don't know anything about the game, but I heard today that Risk of Rain 2 has a great soundtrack. I'm listening to it now and it is not disappointing. It's one I'll definitely be returning to.

Modular Exploration I This ambient piece came from experiments in creating sequences with my VCV rack setup.

If you need a moment of rest today, may I suggest a listen to this little piece from my latest article. It’s an exploration of modular synthesis I created with my VCV rack setup. I created a sequence and then added a couple of synth pads under it for harmony.
