NIAID CEIRR Risk Assessment Pipeline (RAP) Infobyte. 1) Researchers collect viral samples from domestic & wild animals, which are then analyzed by RAP members. 2) Viruses are assessed to predict their potential to infect humans & understand human responses to infection. 3) Research findings are shared with government officials to inform outbreak response.
