On Thursday, October 9, TNRD staff and engineers were on site of the Fadear Lake dam, and were successfully able to clear debris from blocked culverts within the dam structure. As a result, water is flowing freely through these culverts downstream.

The TNRD has been advised by CN Rail about construction planned at the Vavenby Bridge Road rail crossing from Oct 14-16, which will impact local traffic. CN Rail has informed that the rail crossing will be closed on these dates, with access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians only.

The TNRD EOC is in contact with Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) and BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) regarding the Mine Creek Fire, burning adjacent to the Coquihalla Highway.

The TNRD has issued an Evacuation Alert due to the Mine Creek wildfire, effective September 3, 2025, at 8:30 pm.

This Evacuation Alert affects approximately 84 properties, including Brookmere, Murray Lake, and surrounding areas.
