The updated guideline must:
- align with other updated guidelines and latest diagnostic criteria
- include guidance for addressing barriers to access for marginalised people
- increase therapy options for anxiety
- consider a broader range of evidence for treating anxiety (2/3)
The number of adults seeking support for anxiety is rising. However, less than half of those who access treatment through NHS Talking Therapies reliably recover.

PCU recently met with representatives from BACP.
We had a constructive discussion on a range of topics, including concerns that our members have raised previously.
We view this as a positive step in the ongoing relationship between PCU and BACP, we hope to continue building on this progress.
