I was asked the other day by @thaumy.bsky.social what techniques I use to make my #3rdStrike Birthday Cards. So here's a quick 1-minute tutorial I whipped up on how to make cool 3D effects with 2D sprites!*

(**Note: specifically in DaVinci Resolve. But I imagine most editors have similar features!)

This is what it looks like on the characters it won't work on. I'm just testing various ticks and microwalks here to try and trigger the spacing.

(I won't subject you to every single test.)

The close HK either triggers or it won't. Can't make it whiff. (3/3) #3rdStrike #tech

Back on the #3rdStrike #tech grind. One of Chun's biggest threats on wakeup is her close HK. 4F startup, and cancellable into super, it's a powerful counterplay to throw attempts.

I discovered that, with good spacing, it completely whiffs on crouching Q. Here's some stuff you can do with it! (1/3)👇

Welp, I was supposed to be in Lyon this weekend for The Mixup, but my flight got cancelled because of an air traffic control strike.

On a positive note, I really needed a break anyway. So thankfully, I've now got 5 peaceful and productive days ahead of me to work on some animation (´◡` ) #3rdStrike

Even more Remy charge partition nonsense.

It's possible to react to whether a meaty low LOV hits or is blocked, and complete your charge partition accordingly. Either to complete the charge and hit confirm into a flash kick, or walk forward a bit and perform a frametrap with sMK.

In particular, looking into charge partition setups that let you HIT CONFIRM flash kick off of his clMK! (+5 cr. hit) Close MK is his biggest confirm threat with super, but without meter his damage output is pretty ass.
