Before I send any ideas over: I noticed EA/Longtermism alignment - how central is that perspective to your editorial approach?
Are you looking to foreground that lens, or also open to pieces approaching AI from different philosophical or critical standpoints?

Tasks that humans can do Tasks that machines can automate New tasks that humans Can do with the help of machines Fig 2: Humans and machines (image re-created from the talk) rhe white oval represents tasks we know about today and humans can do. The black shape inside it are ones that machines can automate. But there is a much larger space outside the ovals with new jobs that humans can do with the help of new technology. Right now, we don't know what those jobs are when it comes to Al. We need visionaries who can imagine and inspire new possibilitiesβ similar to how the iPhone sparked mobile services and the app industry.

βMooreβs law made us lazyβ during the 1980s and 90s. Developers could rely on the adage βif it doesnβt work now, just wait until next yearβ. Money flowed to shrinking transistors to keep pace with Mooreβs prediction, not to researching alternative approaches.
