This one continuously KICKED ME IN THE HEAD for like three weeks until I beat it into something nicely fucked up that I'm very, very proud of. Really happy with how the mech fights turned out and proud of making myself cry a bit. bit.ly/4o7KosY

Yeah! It's good, but so close to being GREAT.

The whole studio's story is equally frustrating, unfortunately. They were working on an apparently very promising Red Faction reboot, but were one of the devs fucked by the Embracer Group purchases and had it canceled.

Really good fundamental combat built around "drifting," but you can tell the devs MUCH grander ideas that never shine through.

The game CONSTANTLY bombards you with important lore dumps and worldbuilding that comes out of NOWHERE, without ever first establishing a real sense of "place" or stakes.

You play a dyke-y, ex-indoctrinated zealot super-pilot haunted by committing planetary genocide who is psychically bonded to her feral, sentient starfighter.

Early on, you learn she magically lobotomized herself to take away her magic powers and you need to relive all your trauma to get them back.

Beat five games from my backlog this week. Last night was CHORUS, which is both pretty good and often extremely frustrating.

Mostly, though, it would be INCREDIBLE trans girl hyperfixation bait with just a few tweaks (and a better script).

General Sabik did nothing wrong (except a lot of war crimes during the rebellion) and deserves nothing but comfort and a happy ending!

Ooohhhh, I really love the way the light plays over the character here and feels so "tangible" all throughout. Especially on the dark background with the door behind you. It plays really well with the level of texture on the dress and makes you really feel like you can touch the canvas.

We are simply telling the truth!

Oohhh, I really love the almost opalescent gradients you made on the metal, *Mari*~! It has such a nice "practical" color scheme that still somehow looks very futuristic and otherworldly. Awesome work!
