Was an interesting weekend to finish this book to say the least, but wanted to recommend MARTYR! to anyone who hasn’t read it. Just astoundingly beautiful prose (you can tell the author is a poet), with so much to say about the stories we tell about ourselves and others.

I was in a parking garage the other night and forgot my wallet. The phone number I called wasn’t helpful, actually they were cold and rude. A Latino man gave me $3 to get my car out and would not let me Venmo or Zelle him money. Could not be more grateful.
