I haven’t gotten the chance to read the Moomins album I got yet, but I’ve been reading the other book I got (the Manga Biography of Charles Schulz, since I adore Peanuts).

I’m laughing about how they portray Schulz as this adorkable, moe, painfully shy until someone compliments his art individual.

I didn't grow up in a touchy-feely family AT ALL, & the only time ppl typically laid their hands on me, it was out of anger. So my brain associates being touched with harm more than anything.

I think “Samus Aran is a mother figure” and “Samus Aran is trans” are two headcanons that can co-exist.

Some of the women I’ve met who have the best parenting skills have no biological children. Motherhood can be a vibe.

One of the things I actively ignore about Pathfinder/D&D lore when writing is that Cooshees are typically portrayed as being very lithe dogs with smooth fur.

I‘ve spent too much of my life feeling like I have to apologize for their behavior, or that I was somehow responsible because we were blood related. I don’t have to, regardless of what I decide.

It’s definitely something I’m working on. I have so many coworkers who have asked me to just be a “warm body” for something that I feel like I’m never somewhere on my own merits.

It’s also made me want to abstain from relationships, since ppl aren’t taking platonic “nos” from me.

I initially said no, just because I don’t know how he’ll react, but so many people have also said no (due to being on vacation or in class) that one of my coworkers keeps trying to pressure me to change my answer to yes so I can “keep her company”.

I’m not technically lying. From my understanding, my mom bumped into the owner frequently at the supermarket to chit chat, & had been raving about his restaurant on Facebook until this happened.

My mom is ofc furious that I said anything at all, saying I embarrassed her.

My mom got into a screaming match with the owner, & we haven’t been back since. I told work simply “my parents are ex-friends with the owner, I can’t come, it’d be awkward,” & some of my coworkers are urging me to come anyways, especially since other ppl already declined.

Need advice: Our work is holding a holiday work party at a restaurant my parents used to love, but had a bad experience at.

Another party was being rude to us, & when we complained to the owner, he said he didn’t care what happened, he was taking their side bc they frequent the restaurant more.
