I actually really like that style of hoop because it's the only style that allows a lock around the frame. Much better than this BS we have at work. Agreed, they are annoyingly close together though. What's the alternative? How do you get more bikes in a space by spacing them further apart??

Awesome! But I'm not sure about those categories... What's the difference between a bike path and a cycle track? We have lots of multi-use pathways in Canada, but I have never once come across a dedicated bike path or cycle track. Do you mean a separated/protected bike lanes?
