I didn't think I'd have to say this, but as someone who's spent years studying and treating "addictions" there is no such thing as "dopamine addiction," no matter what Insta/ TikTok tell you, and anything using that phrase is a gutter trash scam.

It is incredibly hard to estimate the effects of laws on mental health, but this is a well-designed effort in an excellent journal.
The findings, that anti-trans law lead to worse mental health and suicide attempts, should be taken seriously.

Trigger warnings are not helpful - and can indeed be *harmful* - for people who have experienced trauma
