Thee mighty Stooges. My favorite bit of lore is how they arrived in NYC to record the album but were woefully short of material, so they wrote a bunch of songs in the hotel the night before. Listen to "Real Cool Time." It’s totally a written-in-a-hotel-room-the-night-before song.

Leave Home, Young Loud and Snotty, and NMTB are huge for me. The fact that they were released in the same year is proof that I was born at the right time. (Does that mean I'm kind of old now? Sure, but that was going to happen anyway.) And adding those other albums to the mix? 1977 was seismic.

Would I prefer that he live to face the consequences of his actions? Sure. Will I be satisfied if his humiliation is posthumous? Yes. I absolutely will.

Dude! We saw Bauhaus several years ago (they opened for NIN-yawn), and they were amazing. Outdoor but covered venue, and a thunderstorm rolled in when they started, then rolled back out as soon as they finished!
