and a company with the most genuine and organic culture I’d ever had the pleasure of being a brief part of was dissolved for profit.

energy and passion into the company and the website. Even after every red flag I naïvely still held out hope because to be honest I loved my job and the product and the people who built it and then it was just …taken away by people who didn’t understand it or the industry it was built for

and most inhumane thing I think I’ve had to go through from a company. Even though I knew that it was coming it still got to me.
Even after a year of the new owners of the company slowly removing legacy employees and showing little to know recognition of the value of the people

slack, that my google account was disconnected and I had an email from HR in my personal inbox.
That’s how I found out I was no longer employed. I couldn’t help but text my manager's cell asking what was happening and receiving the expected ‘can’t talk til after HR meeting’ response. It was the 🧵
