being an indie bookseller in the helltimes has felt both very stable and very stabilizing, and part of me wishes everyone could be on my side of the counter for a little while, because I think it would help some of you be a little less cynical and doomy right now. so here is my VERY anecdotal data:

I know I’m late to the list, but another couple skills that could be added are music (especially communal music like singing) and storytelling. Both build strong bonds almost immediately, and both can be done for completely free!

A feature that would, I think, really help is a shop or way to link videos/accounts to a user’s Etsy/IndieMade/etc. account, that way creators here have an easy way to advertise and people have an easy way to support them.

What if TikTok were a nonprofit? A platform to allow small businesses/entertainers to engage with users and promote their goods/services without needing an advertising budget, a shop to sell things on that helps pay for the org, and paid advertisements are a tax write-off.
