Found this lovely hand thrown vase at a thrift store today! The sodium silicate crackle with purple glaze is striking on the buff-colored clay. Top and inside of vase is clear glazed. The only potter's mark is a barefoot stamp. Does anyone recognize the maker?

Oh yes, in the crate it's a completely different story. Whenever we have to evacuate for hurricanes, she will yowl non-stop the entire time we're in the car. Last time, because of traffic, that went on for 3 1/2 hours. Each way.

Thank you! She's not as vocal as some Siamese, but she gets her point across. She trills a lot when she's happy, which is most of the time. She's a real sweetheart.

Thank you! I still have the original window price sticker from the used car lot I bought it from. I paid $3,250 for it in 1985. Seems weird to think that the car was only 18 years old at the time. That would be like buying a 2007 car now and thinking that it's a classic. LOL

Definitely! You could tell from a distance whether it was a Plymouth or a Buick or a Chevy. Now everything looks pretty much the same. Bonus - you could actually work on them yourself!

Vintage Hall spherical teapot with asymmetric handle in a cobalt blue glaze with gold overglaze leaf and flower accents.

Found this cool looking Hall teapot at a thrift store a couple of years ago. I love the shape of it, and the deep cobalt blue glaze seems to glow. Hall was acquired by Homer Laughlin China Co., now known as the Fiesta Tableware Company.

My friend lives on Whidbey Island and texted me this morning to tell me that they felt it there too.

She came with the name Siri, but the strange thing is that when our prior cat Binky passed away, we talked about getting another cat, and one of the names I was thinking of calling her was Siri - no joke! It was fate that brought us together! P.S. She is curled up in my left arm as I type this! :-)

This picture was taken the day we brought her home on March 3, 2013. She and I had an instant bond that endures to this day. She can usually be found cradled in my left arm when I'm on the computer. Love you, Siri! 😻

It's true. They all seem to be falling in line for some reason. Target is especially upsetting to me. We are lucky that we still have Costco and Aldi nearby, but some things we need are not available at either one.

It saddens me to find out that so many places that we've shopped at for years are feeding the negative forces in this country. I'd say we've cut out spending $ at 75% of those places. No one can do it perfectly - just do what you can. Even small efforts taken collectively will make a difference.
