It's pretty rough having to watch white men (with the same amount of experience as me) be promoted to leadership positions while I get told to stay where I am and get more experience

I've come so far in my Japanese study this year 😁 Gone from only just being able to read the news to easily reading the news. Gone from Stardew Valley being a good level to being too easy. And gone from barely N3 listening level to understanding native podcasts!

If I have to sit and wait 10 years doing nothing just to get the "10 years experience" title, I'm leaving

When I was an apprentice everyone acted like once I got my electrical license I could do anything. Now I have it and it feels like no one thinks I'm experienced enough to do xy&z even though I have experience in xy&z

I'm at a stage with my Japanese where I'll understand 6 sentences in a row and then get distracted by the "oh my god I understood that" feeling and miss the next minute of dialogue

I finally did it! The weeb dream! I watched anime without subtitles 🥳

I've been calling myself fluent for over a year but I still don't feel like I live up to that title and idk if I ever will

It's depressing how I can feel myself making so much progress in learning Japanese but then I look at the language as a whole and I can't even see the dents I'm making 😩

So I decided fuck these migranes I'm gonna demand to see a specialist... Soonest appointment the doctor has is 18th December so I guess the specialist will have to wait til next year 😭
