UW Undergraduate Research Symposium was a success last Friday! Our trainees presented on acculturation and diversity considerations in mental health (yes, letters in our lab name!). Congrats, Clara, Joe, and Dani.

Something that is important to our lab is amplifying voices within the Black Community to strengthen bonds and to show support. So in light of the holiday season we made a list of events and Black owned businesses in your local area that may be of interest to you.

Kwanzaa is a symbol of Resilience as Black people have been stripped of many things, but Kwanzaa was something created for Black people to celebrate their History and culture in a positive light.

Kwanzaa takes place December 26th - January 1st.

I’m a junior studying psychology on a pre-med track! I’ve been a member of the ADAPT RA team since fall of 2023!
My research interests lie in examining disparities in physical & mental health outcomes among minority populations, as well as factors contributing to these disparities.
