It is true that standard iq tests, such as Raven's Progressive Matrices measure what is called "fluid intelligence", which requires to "think outside the box" and have an intuition (tests are timed, so deliberate reasoning is discouraged) with a strong creative component. 2/3

We still don't have proof of high iq correlating with intelligence (I have plenty anecdotal counterexamples), and what is intelligence anyway? Low iq is correlated with impaired cognitive functions, so it's a case of negative premise implying negative conclusion, which must be handled with care. 1/3
