As people have been asking, here's a hastily assembled list of 25 that resonated with me this year. And I've probably forgotten a few. I'll expand on these... maybe later. Still got to work on my hidden gems list over the next couple days!

I like 'beat the backlog' better, but I'm surprised you never went back for prime 4. You seemed curious about it.

You can 1000% right. It's just that thinking too hard about anything gets into 'no ethical consumption under capitalism' which is fine. Just not in the holiday spirit.

Everyone who likes ace attorney should try this because doing arguments as poker rounds is such a cool wrapper. Doubling down on a argument feels great.

To add onto this, AI witch hunting is some 'purity testing' dogma. If one drop of bad (AI) blood is all it takes to destroy something then I reject that whole concept.

Games are made by so many people, hate the parts that are slop, like the parts that say something meaningful.

Should we care if AI slop can be hidden? If something looks bad either it was AI or the artist is bad. Either way, it doesn't deserve our attention.

It sucks that we have to be that critical of everything, but people being lazy is how we get slop in the first place.

He's either fooled by AI hype and thinks he's helping. Or he plans to sell the company and is using the current hot buzzword to pump the price.

Omg, you've sold me on this game. Then I see early access and wonder if I'll get a complete experience.

Having a good ending is maybe the most important part of games to me.

I might buy the game in support and play it on 1.0

Oh! I played and beat this one recently.

Loved the characters, Scarlet steals every scene she's in through force of personality.

Gameplay is a good mix of unique units and the map strategy layer of something like a hearts of iron.

The ending gets much too hard, so adjust difficulty then.

Happy that they saw the hype gap that silksong left and decided to slot directly into that... but really I hope they are able to release it when they are ready and it's a smash hit.

It's the best time to be playing video games.

About AI slop, I'm of the mind that it'll make people appreciate art more. For example, when I see a new illustration online I spend more time to check if it's slop and I notice new details everytime.

(Sucks that I have to, but slowing down is nice)

Yo Dispatch looks so hot. Although you can't bury the lead here, gotta put up front that it has some of those good telltale vibes and full voice acting.

It feels so refreshing to get out of the normal workspace. It always puts me in a good mood.

BG3 and Rogue trader feel like their excuse would be that you should play it multiple times. I hate that because it feels like every modern game is trying to be a time suck.

That said, to tell a great story, it sometimes needs that time ala silent hill f. So, mixed feelings...

I really should just play this game. I imagine it'll already be 100 hours without extra content so I imagine waiting for the game to be 150 hours long will only make me put it off more.
