It's the only thing I can think of.

I'm totally used to rejections. I fully understand how the game works. I'm just sick of the agents giving lip service to the queer community saying they want to champion our stories but reject everything labeled LGBTQ. I've seen ONE agent who actually was honest saying it's hard to sell those books.

At least if it takes a month then I can assume they gave it a chance. Six minutes tells me they did nothing. They ask for queer paranormal rom coms, you send them one. Six min later rejection where there's no way they read the sample tells me they arent actually looking for queer books. 😡

Right? It was Christopher Pike and R.L. Stine for me. I swear I read every single thing they wrote! 😂

Anybody else owe their paranormal obsession to this man? Where are my fellow elder millennials who also devoured these books? ❤️

Damn I freaking loved that book! Honestly I loved all Christopher Pike books and still read the Last Vampire series every few years or so. Pretty sure it spawned my vamp obsession. But the chain letter series both captivated and terrified me!!

Thanks community is great, I just think I'm having a hard time finding my people here on Bluesky. I feel like people are so angry about the injustice in the world right now that sometimes they're taking it out on those who don't deserve it. There are much bigger fish to fry in the world right now!🤣

No, I'm writing a mix of MF and FF but I constantly deal with BS from people. Msgs saying "I don't follow queer accts" and "bi isn't really queer so just stop" and "noone will buy your mf books if they think you're queer." It's frustrating and I'm sick of it but I'm still writing both. Just tired 😩

Life as a bi author basically means youre too queer for the straight kids and too straight for the queer kids. Am I gonna "pick a genre & stay in my lane?" Nah I kinda like how it weeds out the asshats. If u refuse to follow someone cuz theyre too gay or not gay enough, we wouldn't be friends anyway
