Two posters side-by-side, describing UX Design in Organisations. On the left, no design happens - decisions are made behind closed doors, users not involved. The result is multiple hours spent doing the work on the operational level. On the right, where UX Design happens on the decision level, the work on the operational level does not require more effort than necessary.
Neue Visuals als durchschlagendes Argument für UX Design in Organisationen. Y/N?

I’m in London for #monkigras
Also I wish I’d talked more about how it’s going on bluesky. I’ve been focusing on LinkedIn and my own blogs. And my German language Substack. I need to write in German and where there’s a chance for anyone where I actually work (in north-east Germany) to see it

I am working on really good presentations, videos and other materials to explain what I do. It feels pointless because of the whole global thing of putting women back into domestic service. But many of our local leaders are women, so I have some hope.

And yeah I said fight. We cannot collaborate. This guy straight out asked me why we (women) do not just build structures that can compete with theirs (men.)

Of course that thing sits right at the centre of our town and our university and has already trained about a million civil servants. How exactly am I supposed fight that?

Which is lazy and also popular, because no boss needs to change anything about how their organisation is run.

Anyways since I have "Introducing the idea of Design" in my bio, I might just as well talk a little bit about how that is going.
Of course there is Design Thinking. Run by a guy who sells the idea of "totally unrelated university students can solve all your problems for you"

Also I will try to suggest a mapping of all the various tools in use throughout the organisation. I cannot believe someone has not already done this, but in two years I have not found anything.
All this means I am much closer to actually doing something useful than I ever have been before.

That is ok though. The men (of course they are all men) in middle management are resisting me with all their might because they think I am like them and want to do a quick career. This will allow (force) me to talk to them some more. It still does not mean I will get bogged down with operations.

So on Friday, during the Sprint Review with the ultimate process owner, I mentioned that I was aware of various approaches to solve that problem and suggested to research them and put them on a wall to compare them. And of course the answer was, yes, good, do that. Lol.

Also, we are completely lacking in Storytelling tools. As in, this really innovative org of 10K+ people has not even tried to implement standardised collaboration tools and habits throughout the company. Shadow IT and walled gardens everywhere. Every team builds a knowledge database of everything.

The first two were really fringe projects outside of any important part of the organisation, this one was looking at a process where it matters. Also, there are other attempts being made to solve that problem, because of course a little Sprint proposed by a little old lady could not possibly work.

Hi everyone on here. Feels like 2012 Twitter now, so I am going to use it like that. I have news! I just led my third Design Sprint. In Germany, where we just do not do that kind of thing. So it is kinda hard and I am going to rant a little

New report reveals UK economy is almost £140billion smaller because of Brexit
Mayor reveals London’s economy alone has shrunk by more than £30billion
So. The EU needs €800bn a year more in investment. Meanwhile, Brexit has COST around £140 billion to the UK economy, and £300 billion could be wiped from the economy by 2035. Do you see where I’m going with this? www.london.gov.uk/new-report-r...

New jacket. At the bottom, the pattern Anna chose that became her urn design, in monochrome instead of all the colours she wanted, because that’s how everything feels. Above that, the Anna bird. And above that, the wind turbines we are building despite everything.
Shall see if I can finish it.

First new social media bio I have written in a long time. Worked a lot on figuring out who I am now that I am neither a mum nor a carer. It has been difficult but this is the first time I am seeing it pay off. Hi everyone <3
