On day 4 of hashtag#39c3, I proposed and held a session to try and agree on a name for a category of knowledge. People came, shared some horror stories, then we started talking solutions.
We are now prototyping #collaborationarchitecture

Nachdem ich ein wenig verdaut habe, ist meine Schlussfolgerung: Wir haben jahrelang nicht richtig an Vernetzung der Daten, Menschen und Organisationen gebaut, deshalb verspricht uns jetzt dieses Produkt, dass es das fรผr uns "mit KI" erledigt.
I feel quite ridiculous. Spent 4 days at #38c3, proposed a session on day 3, held the session on day 4 at the Free Knowledge Habitat and now we have the start of a new academic discipline, because at this point everyone can see the problem. #collaborationarchitecture

Arrived at #39C3 yesterday after getting a ticket - yesterday. Nice. Have registered for the angel system, shall do all my covid testing and then find all the good stuff.
I do think maybe next year I will submit a talk. I have prepared nothing because work has been intense and incredible.

I am now going to call it Collaboration Architecture. And I have pilot projects lined up.

Of course there is Design Thinking. Run by a guy who sells the idea of "totally unrelated university students can solve all your problems for you"
Also I will try to suggest a mapping of all the various tools in use throughout the organisation. I cannot believe someone has not already done this, but in two years I have not found anything.
All this means I am much closer to actually doing something useful than I ever have been before.
That is ok though. The men (of course they are all men) in middle management are resisting me with all their might because they think I am like them and want to do a quick career. This will allow (force) me to talk to them some more. It still does not mean I will get bogged down with operations.

And of course the answer was, yes, good, do that. Lol.

As in, this really innovative org of 10K+ people has not even tried to implement standardised collaboration tools and habits throughout the company. Shadow IT and walled gardens everywhere. Every team builds a knowledge database of everything.

Also, there are other attempts being made to solve that problem, because of course a little Sprint proposed by a little old lady could not possibly work.
