GrapheneOS releases Official releases of GrapheneOS, a security and privacy focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility.

GrapheneOS based on Android 14 is now available in the Alpha channel. In theory, this release could reach the Beta channel and then Stable. However, we expect more minor regressions will be reported and we'll make another release replacing it before Beta.

Nebraska Mom Pleads Guilty to Giving Abortion Pills to Her Teen Daughter Jessica Burgess faced eight years in prison for helping her then 17-year-old get abortion pills. A plea deal brought it down to two.

Meta turned over their DMs, used as evidence to convict them on felony charges for accessing criminalized healthcare. Meta had the data so had to hand it over.

China Military’s Use ofΒ AI Raises Alarm for Congress, Ex-Google CEO China’s embrace of artificial intelligence for warfare has touched off alarm bells everywhere from Silicon Valley to the Pentagon.

Let's be clear: $1.8b for "AI" = ~$1.8b handed to Big Tech companies to license infra, data, & APIs.

This is a subsidy to surveillance cos, justified via rewarmed cold war imaginaries.
