This is my hometown, where I grew up.
I know crimes targeting transgender people are nothing new, but our current administration working to erase trans people’s identities and remove their rights fuels the fire for these types of heinous crimes. I hope his family gets justice

My state is refusing to yield to the president on these issues, but many other states are adopting them happily. Texas and Florida have long been on the “do not travel” list of states based on safety risk for trans people, many other states are ruled “travel with caution”

The reach of the executive orders is further than just what I’ve stated, and there are orders for many other alarming things, but do you see a pattern here? They’re are disproportionately aimed at trans people.

-Remove safety and discrimination measures from schools and work places
-Remove LGBTQ books/reading materials from schools and ban school employees from discussing/acknowledging LGBTQ or trans topics/people

In barely 3 weeks executive orders have gone out to:

-Cut gender affirming care
-Remove trans people from sports
-State one can only use their assigned at birth gender, and completely erase non binary people from existence
-Limit/deny access to passports for trans people

Who else thinks that the reason FOTUS wants to take Canada is because in The Handmaid’s Tale Canada was an ally of the resistance and he doesn’t want us to have anywhere to go?

Omg this this heartbreaking! I just discovered their racist comments/and actions and their disrespect/theft to indigenous people. I supported them because they’re family owned. Looking for a new supplier now🙁

Mark my words, this latest executive order regarding “CRT and gender ideology” is going to lead to an increase of teachers quitting and teen s*icides as well as more blatant racism.

Planning my gardens for this spring, I’m doing a combination of vegetables and both culinary and medicinal herbs/flowers. I spent years just doing my veg and herb gardens and I’m enjoying branching out into medicinal plants

Never in my life did I think that in 2025 I’d be reading up on rights in my workplace if ICE were to show up

Thankfully healthcare facilities are protected by HIPAA and no agents need be allowed past public areas (ie the waiting room)

I made a bunch of crochet hats and scarves to donate to a local organization and I opened instagram and saw one of my hats posted on their page! I know we’re not supposed to donate for recognition or praise, but I was excited to see it and I hope someone likes it and it keeps them warm this winter
