I’ve been thinking about the massive rewrite that the visual layer in #Excel got years back and the courage and capital it must have taken…and accepted that #PowerBI both needs that quantum and will never get even a fraction of it.

I’m being left behind with the incredible new stuff, but it’s awesome what they are adding. I wrote a LOT of VBA back in the day to automatically sync formula ranges to match pivot layout changes, and add table-like natural language formula referencing to them.

Snotsheeting will never be the same.
