Got to hearing the fourth album from Lamb of God, Ashes of the Wake (2004). The album is super heavy, as I expected. No melodic vocals, with Mark Morton's wicked riffs at the forefront. I can see how people compared early Bring Me the Horizon to this band. But not scene. Lyrics are deep too.

For once, an article about the "Men loneliness epidemic" understands. We can't blame women for this. Look at the system that's hurting us. Not just capitalism, but patriarchy. Men having privilege ≠ Men doing well mentally.

I was more talking about your average Trump voter. They're gonna get free healthcare, etc., and they're gonna like it.

But for the politicians that caused the harm? Some kind of justice is in order, but I dislike the prison system as a whole.

I heard T-Square's album "時間旅行" or "Time Travel" in English (2010). It gives a similar vibe to Discoveries, but with much more pep and groove. So, this is significantly better than the previous one. This, 33, and Groove Globe are my favorites from their second formation.

Good to see that the losers are where they belong: banned. If you hate Brothership, cool, but harassing people for liking it is never cool.

Yet somehow even worse. Because you could at least say Origami King still distanced itself from the old games. Meanwhile Brothership embraced the series' past and literally gave fans what they wanted. The people who criticize those points (and not valid stuff like pacing) are disingenuous.

I decided to hear some Dying Wish. I heard their second album, "Symptoms of Survival" (2023). This album is giving me a mix of melodic metal with Suicide Season style brutal metalcore. Emma's melancholic cleans and demonic screams and the brutal riffs & breakdowns form an awesome combination.

Because I've heard everything (as far as I know) from System of a Down, I've been getting into the "spinoffs". In particular, guitarist & co-vocalist Daron Malakian's Scars on Broadway. So far, the two of three albums I've heard, Dictator and Addicted to the Violence, are very solid works.

Whenever it does release, I'll be there.

That's 30 of their 51 main albums so far. Still lots to go, however.

Yet another T-Square album down: Discoveries (2009). That's everything for the 2000s. It's pretty good, around the level as Spirits. Better than Passion Flower, but not Groove Globe or Thirty-Three. It's also slightly better than Wonderful Days. They continue with the more poppy sound as usual.

Yeah, this is a spit in the face of grief. We need to let these feelings out, not remain in denial by having a soulless imitation.

I wouldn't say great, but certainly watchable.

Any form of violence is seen as too scandalous for the children.

Decided to hear something different: Nirvana's first ever album, Bleach. Apparently it's their most raw album. Based on my knowledge of the hit songs from Nevermind, it sure feels like this. Sometimes it gets pretty sludgy and close to heavy metal. Pretty good, especially after the first few songs.

I was more so referring to how the limited seriousness of Paper Mario lately has limited the aura of the cover art, rather than its potential for success.

I would argue that Brothership is more or less like Dream Team. The two have a lot of similar issues, just that Brothership's lows are worse and highs are better.

Ninjis, Tostarenans, that kind. If we get literally ANY Mario RPG representation, it would be cool. But my hopes will not be up.

Heard T-Square's album Wonderful Days. This one gets several members from the older times like the legendary pianist Hirotaka Izumi, saxophonist T. Miyazaki and others. No Masato Honda, though (an Andoh-Honda beef was going on). It's more of an old school sound. It's not my favorite, but still good.
