I'm against unfair redistricting in general, but if they're going to let Texas and Missouri do it for republicans, then it's only fair to let California do it for democrats.

On a completely non-political topic, I just got the new Hyrule Warriors game. It's my first one ever, and I can say it's quite good! Who knows how it'll age with time, but right now I'm enjoying it a lot.

People like Mamdani and Polanski should be the moderate leftists we have, not the farthest of the far. At the very least we are getting people actually left of center rather than just semi-pro welfare center-rightists like the past.

I'm glad someone is finally saying it out loud. Democrats need an affirmative message. As bad as Trump is, normies don't really care unless it's affecting them at the moment. When the opposition is unpopular authoritarians, you shoot high, not bury yourself in a muddy pit of ambiguity.

People will vote for what they see as change, even if it is bs. That's why the UK needs Polanski's Greens to be Reform UK's opponents, not Labour.

I'll take democrats over republicans any day. I'd like them to just at least not meet the republicans "in the middle" for the 50th time, which has only resulted in an ever right-ward shifting politics. Removing unlimited corporate donations from politics would be a good start.

Heck, even suggesting socialism gets that response a lot of the time. Our politics have shifted so far right thats it's fascism vs center-right, with even someone as simple as a center-leftist being called communists like its the red scare all over again.

My practical politics on one hand are more of a green socialism, but then in the ideal world, give me the anarcho-syndicalist/communist utopia any day.

More directly to prop 50, on one hand I'm not really into gerrymandering, but at the same time republicans are doing this at massive rates to try and bypass their dwindling popularity, so we kind of have to rig things one place to balance out their cheating elsewhere.
