Protesters are reporting today that state troopers at Broadview were exceptionally violent last night, lots of baton strikes including at heads and faces. Everyone arrested has been released.

State police and Broadview cops just arrested two more protesters. They violently yanked this person over the cement barricades (clipped bc they also then had this person's pants yanked down briefly).

At the Chicago area ICE detention center in Broadview this morning.

These aren't detention vans—they're vehicles full of Illinois State Police. Local cops are staging for a morning of protest.

Supposedly, demonstrators will be banned from 25th St today. Fence on Beach came down a few days ago.

Mother, children detained by ICE at Millennium Park Sunday held at O’Hare with other families: ‘We never imagined’ The mother said she felt her family was targeted because of their appearance. “There were a lot more people there, but the agents came directly to us because of how we look,” she said.

‪ICE snatched—and has since separated—a family who’ve lived in Chicago for three years and were visiting Millennium Park because the daughter had begged to go. Now the mother and child are being held in a windowless room at O'Hare while the dad is inside the notorious Broadview detention facility.

The following statement can be attributed to Broadview Police Chief Thomas Mills: “The Village of Broadview Police Department has launched a criminal investigation into an allegedly unprovoked attack on a CBS Chicago TV news reporter’s vehicle on Sunday by a chemical munition fired from the direction of U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement detention facility. The victim declined medical attention. The Broadview Police Department expects the full cooperation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security into our criminal investigation.”

Broadview Police have opened an investigation into an attack from federal agents on a CBS crew at Broadview, per BPD Chief Mills.

They ordered people out of the street, walked to the end of it and then back to the fence.
