Never a dull moment: At high tide, Tender became wedged under the jetty, flooded, and sank. This evening, John, me, the boom and a winch handle raised her and put back. I wont wait too long with mounting the new lifting eyes, then the air chambers will be waterproof again.

And at night getting used to the gentle rocking of the boat and the sounds of the storm.

Training a dog at 20 knts of wind in the harbour. There us so much I am used to she has to learn: The howling of the wind, the clapping of the rigging and the dance of the ships. And then the walk on the jetty.

As a regular boatsway you also have to supervise the painting of the ship of a good friend. So for the last 2 days we helped Theo out on painting his saloon and deck. From gray to white it's quite an improvement.

Small advantage of being a boatsway on an bigger boat is that your chef builds you a private dogpond of 12 square meters. 🐕‍🦺

It goes with the trade of open boats. Hoze and restart :-)

Our admiral and connector is Theo (who adds 50 years of sailing to the club). He just stepped out when we made a photo :-) So I picked a photo from earlier this year when we hit a terras in one of the sma historic harbours in the Dutch Delta.

Nice evening with three of my sailinstructors. Together they combine more then 100 years of sailing experience. We come together at least two times a year to go to a maritime event, museum or just an eavening talking about sailing innovations.
