I'm sure Trump has a plan to fix this and he will roll it out in his standard "two weeks" right after he's done solving world peace and making eggs and fuel less expensive.

Step 2: Suppress voters by passing ID laws and limit polling locations

Step 3: Send ICE or MAGA goons to "supervise" polling locations and dissuade black, brown, LGBTQ+ people from voting

Step 4: Claim massive fraud

Step 5: Claim victory before the votes are counted

Imagine how elections would end up if Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Texas had fair maps drawn. We could be having debate on healthcare, social safety net programs, or solar incentives instead of waiting for Trump's next step in dismantling our democracy.

ICE knows exactly what they are doing here. Grab kids for trafficking, maybe, but likely not. You grab the young kids because then there is a solid chance you make their parents come to you, then you can deport them all.

We must resist, then abolish ICE when we can.

At some point, Republicans may realize AOC is not the one they want to play this game with. She's not the usual 60+ years old congress member who speaks in platitudes and curated sound bites. She will shout people down with snark and wit with the quickness.

This may not be the flex they think it is. I can see this policy going horribly wrong when a masked ICE agent breaks into someone's home in TX or FL, and a gunfight breaks out.

This is going to end badly for certain. It's just a matter of how long until it happens.

Until we start seeing politicians who commit crimes doing perp walks and getting real prison time, this will continue to happen.

We can add this to the long list of things that need to be corrected in our politics.

A few thoughts:

How about a blind fund that is a pool of all investments for members of congress, cabinet, and POTUS? Everyone earns the same while serving.

Term limits are a must. We have far too many career politicians.

Repeal Citizens United. Get as much money out of politics as possible.

Yesterday's blatant maket manipulation and insider trading likely further enriched many in Trump's direct orbit.

This reminded me that because money buys influence and power in our elections, repealing Citizens United at the first possible opportunity needs to be a top priority. Companies ≠ people.

The US elected Trump twice. Think about the message that sent to other countries around the world. They saw all the mayhem the first Trump admin caused, then his botched Covid response.

After a return to sanity for four years, Trump is voted back in and it's immediate chaos. Would you trust us?
