What does a ban on Palestine Action mean in practice?

The government's decision to ban Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation is being rushed through Parliament. It will be subject to a legal challenge, but legal action will take time and the impact on the movement will be immediate. Counter-terrorism laws give the police wide ranging and poorly defined powers, leaving a lot of room for police to abuse their power. Experience of previous counter-terror policing tells us that these powers are used in an overtly racist and Islamophobic way.

All of the above can relate to things you're doing online and offline (e.g. on social media, in public message threads).

They initially opened it to the public, but privacy concerns led to them going private. And now they sell to the folllowing: law enforcement, government and insurance. I know we’ve been saying “don’t fucking take pics at protests” for years? But I think we need to escalate that to “don’t take pics at pride. Don’t take pics at queer events” etc
