#QueerWritersChat I primarily write MM romance, so most of the MCs in my stories are gay. But there are exceptions!
In The Witch of Eden Hollow: Tristan is actually bi and Elias is demi.
In my queer dark fantasy series: Lucian is polyamorous, Declan is demi, and Mícheil is bi.

Meanwhile, Avery and Tristan's relationship in The Witch of Eden Hollow is already established. The internal conflict is Avery wanting to come out of the closet but being too scared to.
Elias and Sterling's relationship is *kinda* slowburn enemies to lovers. And new beginnings fit their vibe. 4/4

He quickly after comes out as poly. Book 3 (which I'm still writing) establishes the open relationship and Tobias starts slowly catches feelings for Auðunar. I don't even know how much longer it's gonna take before they all three decide to poly it up together, wish me luck!! 3/4

My queer dark fantasy series has the SLOWEST slow burn I've ever written (300K+ and STILL GOING with an endgame polycule).
Book 1 was childhood friends to lovers Lucian and Tobias getting together. Book 2 was Lucian being separated from Tobias, meeting Auðunar, and falling in love with him. 2/4

The hardest part for me is trying to figure out what pace of romance I wanna go for. Do I want it quick, fast-paced? Do I wanna have slow burn? On again, off again?
It entirely depends on the couple (in some cases, polycule) I wanna portray and what kind of story I wanna tell. 1/4

Auðunar doesn't necessarily believe in *luck,* but he does believe in fate and how it can twist and turn if you do something to, for example, upset the gods.
He holds fast to his god's tenets to ground himself in situations that can be harrowing/unlucky.
