Sometimes what a person is a demigod "of" is just a part of their powers. Demis are the ones who really respond to prayers, since the Gods are always busy. A prayer to Yelena involves blowing through a conch horn, hence 'seashells' but she would have an actual Water elemental power to aid people

And this book is all about vibes and characters hanging out, anyway. It doesn't have much of a plot😂

I include a lot of worldbuilding details in my books, but if something is going to be important later, I make sure it feels more important than the random little vibey/descriptive moments

I feel like it works better in reverse, but it also depends on the severity of the information presented. Just because the gun appears doesn't mean it HAS to be shot (unless you REALLY HEAVILY implement it. Like, if you build reader expectation then... yeah...)

But in reverse, if you shoot that gun

Okay, for my real answer: I love Chekhov's Gun and I love to include it in my books. BUT, I also love adding random worldbuilding details to flesh out the world and provide Vibes™️(more below)

I used to not care for fairies/fae folk in fiction, but I think I was used to the "good" ones. The kind in the sanitized/saf-for-kids "fairy" tales 🤣 Once I realized there were evil fairies, especially the ones who love world play, I started to like them more!

And I'm a sucker for hot fae prince🫠

It FELT like I just had a hallucinatory psychotic break. I never thought I would mentally imagine the Hierophant, uhh.. in the sunshine and rainbows room.🤣

I did imagine him playing with puppies, though. He has two cats even in canon!

I'll just have to make my stories "Safe for Patreon" from now on 🤣

Demigods are chosen by the God to drink that God's blood and receive powers. Well, in some cases, it's not exactly the God's decisions. Sparkato's blood is taken from him forcefully and given to people Lulu approves of. Icsnow's blood is similar.
