Danke an Jung und Naiv für das Festhalten dieser weiteren Sternstunde - kommt für mich auf Platz 1 - noch vor der Begründung, es kann kein Tempolimit geben, weil wir dafür nicht genügend Schilder haben.

In nur 5 Jahren hat China den Automobilmarkt übernommen und ist uns parallel beim E-Auto davon gerast.

Dass Kanzler Merz allen ernstes davon spricht, dass wir 2035 noch "hocheffiziente Verbrenner" verkaufen, macht es noch verrückter.

I don't recall where I found this, but I'd say this looks about right.

This is the unfortunate reality in German academia. Most scholars have to drop out, but usually they are not welcome in other places. If you're an international researcher (this is my case), the situation is even more tough & options for employment outside of science are very [extremely] limited.

Pro tip: If the person providing a different interpretation is not speaking for Moneyed Interests and is an expert in their field, they’re an “independent scholar”—not just a “skeptic” (ffs!)

I think there's an interesting study of media to be done looking at who gets labeled an "expert" and who gets labeled a "skeptic". Certainly for coverage of "AI", but I wonder if there are other topics that would make interesting comparisons.

Heute ist der internationale Aktionstag gegen Gewalt an Mädchen und Frauen und ein erster Schritt wäre es, die Dinge beim Namen zu nennen. Es sind keine "Familiendramen" oder "Liebestragödien" und Frauen haben auch keine Angst vor Tiefgaragen.
Das Problem sind gewalttätige Männer.

Die gefährlichsten Menschen für Frauen & weiblich gelesene Personen sind Männer, die ihnen nahe stehen.

Um darauf aufmerksam zu machen, haben wir in ganz Österreich Plakatflächen mit dieser Botschaft versehen.
