Lol, right??? Gotta keep copies of the old drafts just to graft the old scenes back in. Definitely guilty of that. 😂

I think my favorite part of the revision process is coming across whole scenes or chapters I can remove or condense. It's so satisfying to highlight an entire wall of unnecessary text and hit DELETE.

Take a creative break that has nothing to do with writing (preferably at least a whole day). I know it's hard, but seriously, it'll make your brain feel SO much better. Anything that gets you away from writing. I do paint by numbers and my brain always feels 100 pounds lighter after about an hour.

Maeve finds that she responds to structure and praise, and Soren's natural proclivity towards service topping and caretaking speaks to her deep need to exist without expectation or judgment. She's bad at tending to her own needs, so Soren's demands for it means she gets to EAT and SLEEP.
