The liftoff of the Starship Super Heavy on its 7th flight from Starbase, Texas. While Mechazilla performed a flawless catch, recovering the Super Heavy booster, Starship itself was lost.

Standing 322 feet tall, it ranks among the largest orbital-class launch vehicles currently in development and could propel Blue Origin closer to its vision of a permanent presence in orbit and beyond.

The Jeff Bezos-founded company is launching the Blue Ring Pathfinder to begin testing the future transfer vehicle’s ability to host specialized payloads and deliver satellites to their target orbits. The New Glenn rocket features a reusable first stage powered by seven BE-4 methane-fueled engines.

Blue Origin is currently targeting the late night - early morning of January 6th for liftoff from Cape Canaveral. Our team is monitoring developments at the Space Coast and will promptly update the Supercluster Launch Tracker with liftoff times.

As part of the new launcher’s first flight, Blue Origin will attempt to land the booster stage on its droneship, Jacklyn, positioned in the Atlantic Ocean. The booster for this milestone attempt is named So You’re Telling Me There’s a Chance.

Blue Origin is set to launch the Blue Ring Pathfinder spacecraft on the inaugural flight of its New Glenn rocket, a heavy-lift vehicle that will support upcoming critical NASA Artemis missions.

The characteristics of the new galaxies Webb spotted are shedding light on how galaxies grow and interact as clusters form. Most galaxies in local clusters are old and not very active. The ones in the Spiderweb are adolescents.

Though the Spiderweb protocluster is well-studied, because of Webb’s capability to see infrared light, scientists are using it to observe regions of the Spiderweb that were previously hidden to us by cosmic dust.
