I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin. We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.

Gutted. We have lost a brilliant voice in the world. Rest in peace Alice Wong @sfdirewolf.bsky.social you were so inspiring to so many of us. Thank you for sharing all your words and for always shining a light on the disability community.

They are also demolishing parts of our White House, abducting US and international citizens based on skin color, using the Justice Department to settle political scores, mucking up the Department of Education, pushing reporters out of the Pentagon, and raising taxes on everybody except the uber-rich

It ought to be noted, more often, that the GOP has decided it's better (for them) to

(1) Shut down the Federal Government (2) Take a weeks long vacation (3) Let THOUSANDS of people go unpaid (4) Cut food assistance (5) Cut flights across the country

than entertain a discussion about US healthcare
