Jacky and Junior look into a leafy canyon, where a long brown monster is looking stupidly up the wall. It has a hollowed out face that might have been a cat's once. "There it is again. I've never seen that much of it before." Jacky looks at Junior, who mutely looks at her and rolls up his sleeve. He starts to take a step directly into the canyon from the ledge and she grabs his mid-section, pulling him back. "No." She gestures at the snake-cat thing while he looks dead-eyed away like they've been married for forty years, thinking, 'girlfriend won't let me beat garbage snake's ass.' Jacky says, "Look at it, it's idiotic. We can just walk away forever." She takes him by a thin thread he keeps around his neck (its harmless) and they begin to walk away. Junior says, "And when it's outside the bedroom window with its face pressed against the glass?" Jacky looks back, horrified and grossed out. "Why you only talk when you got something upsetting to say?"
