I didn't buy a single lens in Nikon's most recent refurb sale. That was mostly because I'd already bought everything I wanted in past sales, but still calling it a win....

The supposedly liberal media is focusing on years-old texts instead of the R candidate in the VA Governor's race thinking it's ok to discriminate against gay people for jobs and marriage and not knowing about using batteries with solar power when it's dark outside. Can't make this sh1t up.

People don't like Greta Thunberg because she's usually right and not afraid to say it to anyone. She goes toe-to-toe with nations and politicians that most of her critics fear. I'm sure she's as imperfect as the rest of us, but if you're on the side opposing her, I'd take a good look at your side.

S2 update: he's much hotter in a doublet and with a beard. Her dialog and delivery has improved.

A Discovery of Witches: Female lead is gorgeous, but character is dumb as rock, has bad dialog, and actor isn't great in role. Male lead is a great actor with better writing and more sense, but every other man on the show under 60 is more attractive than the (regular-looking) supposed heartthrob.

I love having time to exercise every morning. It improves my mood for the rest of the day.

The color enhancements in Lightroom sometimes improve a photo - making the colors a bit richer, but I have yet to like a photo where I've mucked with sharpening. It always looks like crud, and I always prefer the original.

Apparently my camera is good in low light. It was almost completely dark when I took this shot - much darker than the photo looks. I was expecting far more noise.

So fluffy! George lets me pet him, but only Adam gets to pick him up. About a dozen people in the world have seen him in person.

I love GenAI and use it all the time. AI companies owe authors royalties. I will not spend a penny on anything - music, visual arts, games, novels, movies, etc. - that replaces artists with AI. Tilly is cute, but she's not an actor.

So we can have a fat Commander in Chief, but we can't have fat Generals or troops?

The Beast is great for action shots with the cats. I need to practice and tweak the autofocus settings, but I can flip the mode dial to the next setting and be able to shoot bursts of shots with custom settings (e.g., fast shutter speed) for wildlife.

It's not how often you fight with your partner that matters. It's HOW you fight and how you don't fight. I'm proud of how far we've come, and I know an amazing couples therapist in C'ville if anyone wants a recommendation.

Glad I tested it with more than one lens. I thought my new-to-me refurbished lens had something in it that was showing up in photos. I tried a different lens on the camera, and I got the same thing, so it's debris on my camera sensor, which I can clean.

If your post-processed photo looks like a Thomas Kinkade painting, yes, you have overcooked it, but go for it if it makes you happy.
