A sun-drenched parking lot at either dawn or dusk, with a long metal bike rack in the foreground. The section of the rack featuring an inverted-U design is crowded with numerous bicycles, while the simpler wave-style section to the right has only three bikes. Parked cars and a modern building are visible in the background against a clear sky.
I updated the blog post with a picture I took yesterday. Notice how bike rack design matters cyclewr.ca/2025/07/08/g...

But the nearby city of Guelph is. Its score jumped from 37/100, to 53/100. Not as good as either Kitchener-Waterloo, but thatβs a nice jump year-over-year!

Next, letβs have a look at Waterlooβs performance.
The 2025 network score increases slightly from 63/100 to 64/100. Thatβs just 1 point less than Kitchenerβs score! It's still awesome to cycle in Waterloo, of course!

Four people on a paved road, standing or sitting with bicycles, holding or displaying Pride flags. The person on the left is standing beside a black road bike, wearing a black t-shirt with a rainbow flag design, black shorts, and rainbow-striped socks. The person in the center front is sitting in a three-wheeled adaptive bicycle with a rainbow flag design on the front panel, wearing a black t-shirt and glasses. Behind them, another person stands beside a bicycle, wearing a white t-shirt that says "love is love". On the right, a person stands wearing a red shirt, teal shorts, rainbow-striped socks, and holding a small Pride flag. Two more bicycles are parked in the background on the right. The sun shines brightly on the trees and foliage in the background. In the bottom right corner is a logo for "SPECTRUM Waterloo Region's Rainbow Community Space".
