🚨 BREAKING: More than ten people have been injured, including a child in critical condition, after an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped two small bombs on and around Al-Daraj School in Gaza City, the Gaza Civil Defense said in a statement. Officials said one device was dropped at the school’s main gate and another on a tent inside a shelter area behind the building. The wounded include children, women, and elderly people, all of whom were transferred to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital. For starters, the Embassy letter asserts as fact that Mohammed “threw rocks at vehicles belonging to Israeli citizens.” As proof, it cites his “confession” on the night of his arrest—leaving out that, in a sworn affidavit, Mohammed wrote: “The interrogator threatened that if I did not comply, he would instruct the soldiers to beat me. Out of sheer fear, I ultimately confessed.”

The letter also omits that the interrogation took place after soldiers stormed his home at 3 a.m., blindfolded him, tied his hands behind his back, and—according to his sworn affidavit—beat him with rifle butts in a military vehicle, continuing the assault at Ofer Prison. He had no lawyer or guardian present during questioning.

jasper nathaniel @infinite_jaz · 7h The Embassy letter also omits everything about the horrific conditions of Mohammed’s detention—overcrowded cells, no heating or cooling, meager food, and severely limited bathing and outdoor time—conditions consistently documented across his sworn affidavit, Israeli press reports, human rights groups, and even Ben-Gvir’s own public boasts. In September, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled the prison system wasn’t providing enough food to ensure “a basic level of existence.” jasper nathaniel @infinite_jaz · 7h The Embassy letter says: “The defendant’s father was present at both hearings. At the first hearing via video conference, and at the second hearing in the courtroom.” In reality, Zaher has never been in the same room as his son. Both times, he saw Mohammed only through a video screen.
