Very unsurprised to see influential "Gender Critical" people calling to make being trans illegal full stop. That has always been their goal. They obviously now think it's within the Overton Window

What is horrifying is that STILL this extremists are still treated like normal people with "concerns"

I could be wrong about this but I really think most Americans do not want to be forced to “do their own research” about food & drug & product safety and would rather that the government agencies that have been sorting that all out for them for decades not be obliterated in the name of “efficiency.”

i realize the title is a bit counterintuitive but the answer is that you cannot as an individual guarantee your food is safe. we can, as a collective, push back HARD on dismantling food safety regulations, and put pressure on an unpopular administration to keep our food from killing us.

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

Stop letting unfunny men tell you there’s something wrong with you for not getting their “jokes”. Stop fake laughing. Let their reality reflect the truth of how fundamentally they misunderstand humor. Neuter their ability to use “it was a joke” for emotional cover. Make them see nobody laugh.

I will never stop being mad about how the media has treated the anti-trans movement as a group of ordinary people with legitimate concerns rather than the obvious frothing bigots they are.

I usually say "money buys margin," which is to say, if shit happens, you don't have to scramble to deal with it. When my cat had a urinary tract infection two weeks ago that could have killed him, I didn't have to choose between him and an electric bill, or groceries. That's margin.

This sort of thing is incredibly common. The government won't tell you how much you owe in taxes because HR & Block & Turbo Tax lobby to keep you paying.
