Currently midway through my first proper full attendance movie festival and I can't recommend it enough.

Still feels like a tradeoff to the detriment of my excitement with OG magic stories.

Echoing this bit. Part of the satisfaction I get from running games comes from succeeding at a task that's a bit challenging.

There are probably areas where I could personally see the friction removed, but it wouldn't be the same if the process was overall easy. Or automated. Or something.

Baffling how it's simultaneously a best-in-slot escape room AND a solid standalone tile laying board game.

the virus starts in the throat, which cuts your in-game comms. So we went through all the usual sci-fi tropes of "No, he's probably all right, I've seen him running around. Probably a comms malfunction".

We connected the dots only after we saw his body floating outside. Fucking blast of a game.

Had probably my favourite moment playing Barotrauma yesterday.

Our Medic used all his anti-zombie virus meds on the rest of the crew, realized he had it himself. Pumped himself full of antibiotics to stop the incubation for long enough to get to the airlock and jump out.
