Got to grab lunch with a dear phage friend, Tiffany, at ASM Microbe today! @scientiff.bsky.social
She had an awesome rapid fire poster talk about phage therapy against P. aeruginosa infection in an elderly person with CF

Oooh the overnight precipitation sounds like it might work I think weβll give it a go! We have a few other samples weβre trying to get out this week so weβre just trying to get something clean enough to send off π. Agreed re:failed run but still not sure what else we did to that cursed sample. π€£

Nothing crazy! Just wanting to sequence & annotate the phage genome. Weβve had sequencing runs fail when we ignored some of those warning messages (oops). π₯² I donβt think we currently have an account set up with Plasmidsaurus but would be interested in that in the future. π Thanks for the recc!

Hey #microsky ! π Iβm currently troubleshooting some phage DNA extraction woes with our undergrads. We use phenol-chloroform-isoamyl and phase-lock gels for the process but weβre still getting high 260/230 after elution. ππ»ββοΈ Any advice/suggestions on DNA clean up would be much appreciated!
