According to Wired: β€œChina’s policy document, meanwhile, is promoting the mass production of non-implantable devices in various formsβ€”forehead-mounted, head-mounted, ear-mounted, ear buds, and helmets, glasses, and headphones.” Cool? Maybe. But also with a dark side Augment Nation explores. #SFF

Plain reddish brown book cover of DantΓ©'s Inferno.

You’d think that all those local references would limit the size of his audience, but since it’s still considered a classic 700 years later, Danté’s literary skills obviously overcame that!

Although it demands a lot of slogging through footnotes for us modern readers, DantΓ© very effectively makes the hellish punishments and their appropriateness clear and relatable by referencing characters his readers would have known well from classical mythology and his contemporary Italy.
