Had to go to church today, as part of my job. High Anglican; it struck me that they had just gone through the Catholic service and scribbled out the word "Pope". I can still smell the incense. Shuddered at the words "... although I am not worthy ..." Three priests to minister to about 30 parishioners. Only four of us were being paid to be there: the rest of them gave offertories by card or cash. Someone brought their kids with them or I'd have lowered the average age of the congregation - and I'm no spring chicken... ... and I have to go through this charade again later in the month. Jeez ...

Try "Eighty cm scientists", it improves the metre.

Most scientists use SI these days anyway.

Dugan's Bakewell Tart. Sublime. I'm in no way affiliated to dugans.co.uk in Hay-on-Wye, just up The Pavement from the Clock Tower (which seems to be stuck at 0930), but their Bakewell* is something else. *other cakes, tarts, and savouries are available. But not the Bakewell if I've got there before you.
