It's common in the anime for Digimon to look childlike when they are with the protagonists.
But since they come from the Digital World, they shouldn't need to be childlike just because their birth was recent compared to humans.

Discord posted an update abt their age verification - I feel the need to inform people that all of these things were already true last year when they had that data breach that exposed people's IDs. Bad actors got into a customer support account that had access to tickets with people's IDs in them.

Yeah but in that Vol 1 was on cartridge and Vol 2 was download code at least on Switch. So that is reason why have JPN version. Games itself has both JPN and western version so no problem with language barrier.
