I stand with the LGBTQ+ Historical Association - of which I am a member - and condemn this blatant act of historical revisionism. The Trump administration must restore this information.

Removing them from our shared historical record does not change the truth that we exist and have always existed—it only reveals the administration’s commitment to suppressing it.

As an historian of LGBTQ+ Utah, I am outraged and deeply disappointed. Trans and Queer people are the backbone of LGBTQ+ history, culture, and activism. Their contributions are undeniable, from Stonewall to the fight for equal rights, to the ongoing struggles for rights and recognition today.

🚨 The Trump administration has once again targeted our community—this time by removing "Transgender" and "Queer" from National Park Service websites and historical sites. This is not just a bureaucratic change; it’s an act of erasure.
