I remember 2/3 of these birds were near Wareham a good few years ago. Fascinating birds, their legs bend the wrong way!

Recored one in my Bride Valley garden for the first time in four years in early August.

Beautiful evening bike ride. Wheatear wasn’t a surprise, a Green sandpiper was. This individual was settling down around the pool near the crossroads at the Valley of the Stones NNR.

Stunning noctilucent clouds this evening. Screaming swifts so low earlier I could hear their wings furiously beating. High summer.
