When I read about DOGE in US politics, my brain shifts to Venetian Doges. For years, Doges leveraged #diplomacy, #resilience, and #art. For Example Leonardo Loredan helped #Venice thrive despite the compexty of the 16'c. and his portrait hangs at the #NationalGallery in London. Quite the contrast.😅
